Guidelines

On this page, you can easily find the rules regarding the FaySport bridle and the FayPerform Weymouth bridle and whether and when they are or are not allowed.

International – FEI

FaySport bridle:

  • Dressage: Allowed in all levels, provided that the throatlash is attached, but without the bit straps.
  • Jumping: Allowed in all levels, without the bit straps. The throatlash is not officially required.
  • Eventing: Allowed at all levels during the disciplines of dressage and show jumping, provided that the throatlash is attached, but without the bit straps. Not allowed during the cross-country phase, as clips as buckles are not permitted.


FayPerform Weymouth bridle:

  • Dressage: allowed in class CDI/CDIO3*/4*/5*/U25, CDI-Ws, Juniors and Young Riders, provided the throatlash is attached.
  • Jumping: Double bridles are only not allowed on CSI (O) P (ponies) competitions, other categories are allowed, provided that the throatlash is attached.
  • Eventing: Allowed in show jumping and in dressage in the 4* and 5* classes, provided the throatlash is attached, but without the bit straps. Not allowed for cross country because clips as buckles are not permitted.


The Netherlands – KNHS

FaySport bridle:

  • Dressage: Allowed in all levels, but without the bit straps.
  • Jumping: Allowed in all levels, but without the bit straps.
  • Eventing: Allowed in all levels, but without the bit straps.


FayPerform Weymouth bridle:

  • Dressage: From Z2 dressage
  • Jumping: Not allowed
  • Eventing: From class Z, the FEI guidelines are followed. A double bridle is only allowed during the dressage test of 4* or 5* events, provided that no additional gadgets are used. Not allowed for cross country because clips as buckles are not permitted.


Germany – FN

FaySport bridle:

  • Dressage: Allowed in all levels, provided that the throatlash is attached, but without the bit straps.
  • Jumping: Allowed in all levels, without the bit straps. The throatlash is not officially required.
  • Eventing: Allowed in all levels, without the bit straps. The throatlash is required during dressage test, other sections don't require the throatlash.


FayPerform Weymouth bridle:

  • Dressage: Allowed in class L till S, provided that the throatlash is attached.
  • Jumping: Double bridles are only not allowed on CSI (O) P (ponies) competitions, other categories are allowed, provided that the throatlash is attached, but without the bit straps.
  • Eventing: Only allowed during dressage test from class M, provided that the throatlash is attached, but without the bit straps.
